As I explored my ethnographic research data in the early phase of the analysis and composition process, I began coding and publishing my field notes and other informal accounts and artifacts. This act of public analysis and documentation proved too time-consuming to pursue comprehensively when I reached the point in the project where the data turns to full audio recordings of outings with participants. However, this work was formative for my preliminary thinking, and I have included it here for the sake of methodological transparency.
