As I explored my ethnographic research data in the early phase of the analysis and composition process, I began publishing and coding appropriately de-identified field notes and other informal accounts and artifacts (see Project Timeline).
This act of public analysis and documentation proved too time-consuming to pursue comprehensively when I reached the point in the project where the primary data unit turns to full audio recordings of outings with participants. Transcripts and audio files are much more time-consuming to de-identify and prepare for publication.
However, this work was formative for my preliminary thinking, and I have included it here for the sake of methodological transparency.
